The Ten of Cups is a card of contentment and pleasure. However, this week, it is important that we don’t allow our comfort to stop us from getting work done. We might find a lack of motivation in accomplishing anything. Curling up on the couch and zoning out to Netflix might sound more enticing than working on tasks that need to get done. The beginning of this week, we might find ourselves feeling trapped and anxious, but as the week progresses, such energy will diminish and we will find ourselves open to enjoying a nice, relaxing weekend. Take a deep breath and learn to go with the flow.
Keywords of this card include: mutual love, happiness, tranquility, unity, trust, sharing, family.
The Ten of Cups asks us to utilize our relationships with family and friends as we pursue our endeavors. Don’t be surprised if family and friends offer a helping hand this weekend. However, we might also find such relationships as distractions at this time. If you feel the urge to lock yourself in a room, don’t be surprised if you can’t find such solace this week. We might try and sneak away for some alone time, but such time is not to be found this week. Instead of allowing ourselves to be overcome with a lack of solitude, focus on how lucky you are to be surrounded with people who love you.
Make sure to take time to enjoy the simple pleasures this week, but do not allow such pleasures to prevent you from dedicating time to hard work. If family and friends become to much of a distraction, be open and honest with them instead of keeping anxious or stressful energy bottled up inside. If we don’t get the reaction we are hoping for, brush it off and let it go. The Ten of Cups is ruled by Mars in Pisces, and urges us to go with the flow. If we find disruptions in our plans, it’s important to switch gears and keep moving forward. With Mars in Aquarius until November 15th, we might find the beginning of this week filled with restless and rebellious energy. However, once Mars enters Pisces on the 15th, we should find ourselves more capable of going with the flow.
Many of us might also find ourselves surrounded by deceptive energy which can show itself in the form of gossip or bickering. We are well advised to avoid participating in such drama if at all possible. Such situations could also be a reason why we want to lock ourselves in a room and escape from the outside world. The more we can tune out such energy and instead focus on our work, the better off we will be. We will most likely find ourselves needing to take many deep breaths this week to avoid conflict with family and friends. Just remember, such energy should subside by mid-week.
By the end of the week, if we find ourselves emotionally and/or physically drained, it’s important to allow ourselves to simply stay at home and enjoy some quiet time. The more time we can focus on dedicating ourselves to the work we have taken on, the more pleasurable we will find the weekend once it arrives. Keep your eye on the prize and keep moving forward!
