The Four of Wands comes to us today letting us know that there is much to celebrate in life, yet some of us might not even realize it. If we focus our thoughts and energy on the bad in life, we will see more of it in our everyday lives. If we focus on wanting more good in our life, we are still focusing on the fact that we don’t have a good life. The time has come to let go of the struggle and embrace all the good we have to be thankful for. The bright light of positive thoughts and compassion will wash away the murkiness of any negativity we are still attaching ourselves to.

2018 was all about letting go. However, as we released what was holding us back, we might have been giving the negative energy attached to such situations too much of our time. The more we focus on what we don’t want, the more it seems to pop up in our lives. By giving anything your attention, even if you say you don’t want more of it, you are still focusing your energy on it. By letting go of the struggle to reach a better life, we open ourselves up to find a path of least resistance that will guide us more easily to reaching and achieving our dreams. Even though it may sound selfish, it’s time to focus on what makes you feel good. The upcoming Year of the Pig is all about contentment, joy, and celebration. When we do something because we say we “have to” and not because we “want to,” we open ourselves up to situations conducive to struggle.

The less we struggle to balance life, the more at ease and the more enjoyable we will find our everyday obligations. When we are resistant to all that life throws at us, we are telling the universe that we do not want to receive anymore from life. The more we accomplish tasks in our life with ease, the more receptive we are to new opportunities entering our lives. Now is not a time to put your feet in the sand. I know I struggle with this in my personal life, resisting situations that don’t sync up with what I need to do. It can be hard to say yes to anything. However, I find when I do open myself up to such opportunities, I find new people or new ideas that I can use that I never would have been introduced to had I not simply gone with the flow.

It’s much easier to swim with the current than against it. Now is the time to use this energy to follow the path that your inner guide is trying to show you. Too much of what we do and say is because we think we are supposed to, not because it feels good. We worry too much and waste too much of our time trying to figure out how to get where we want to be, instead of taking the time to sit still, close our eyes, and listen to our inner voice. This week, if you begin to feel overwhelmed or overcome with a snowball of worrying thoughts, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let go of everything you are thinking of. Be still and remember: if we have faith in attaining what we want, we have nothing to worry about. The path of least resistance. Focus on this. Am I advising that we simply say “yes” to everything? No. But, the more we harness the power of our intuition, we will find the situations that make us feel good because they are good for us, instead of saying “yes” to things simply for some superficial gratification.

Every time we wake up and tell ourselves that we simply don’t have time to accomplish all that we set out to do, the more we find roadblocks in our lives that we do not realize are self-imposed. The part of us that is scared of our dreams becoming a reality feels satisfied when things don’t go our way. It’s a counter-productive reassurance that life must be a struggle. Follow the path of least resistance. When something works out, perhaps that’e because we are being guided in a direction that will help us achieve what we want in a more enjoyable manner. Living in the present moment instead of worrying about how we are going to get somewhere is part of the adventure that life has to offer us. Keep moving and keep the energy flowing and you will find more opportunities and relationships entering your life that are immensely beneficial to you on your journey.

The Four of Wands asks us to celebrate all that we are grateful for in our lives. The more we focus on the good we already have, the less time we have to focus on the negative aspects of life. This is made easier when we wake up and go to bed everyday with thoughts of gratitude. Wishing for what we want instead of giving thanks for what we have opens ourselves up once again to sending signals that we have a lack of something in our lives. What do you have to be thankful for? Don’t simply give thanks for something because you think it’s what you need to do to manifest more info your life. Give thanks with joy and gratitude in your mind and in your heart. The energy we emit is the most important step in the process. If giving thanks feels like a chore or an obligation, all the universe sends back is more situations and relationships that feel like chores or obligations. What are you truly thankful for? Focus on thoughts that bring you joy, then focus upon the aspects of your life that you can give thanks for, leave these thoughts feeling joyful and fulfilled to allow more joy and fulfillment to enter your life.

Your life is meant to be enjoyed. You are meant to feel fulfilled. Let go of the struggle and welcome in the life that awaits you!
